LLS - Team In Training!!

HELLO!! This is my FIRST blog, ever! I know you're probably saying, "where have you been? Don't you know this is the day and age of blogging?" I have never been much of a blogger but I thought I would give it a try. 

I want to first thank you for taking the opportunity to read this. I hope you continue to check back in to read about my journey with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team in Training (TNT), while I raise funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Leukemia is the #1 killer of children, so this hits home for me since my husband and I have 2 little cuties running around our house (well okay only 1 is "running"). What hits even closer to home is that Justin's 2nd cousin was recently diagnosed with a form of lymphoma. For her I ride!

A few facts about blood cancers:

·         Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and adults under the age of 20

·         Every 5 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer

·         Every 10 minutes someone dies from a blood cancer
